He was an auto mechanic in a previous life, and I'm about to drive cross country, and need to get my car inspected and worked on before the drive, so I asked him for his advice, being that he's the only mechanic I know, aside from the one I pay money to here in Seattle whom I trust, but I thought I'd ask my cousin too.
